Keychain

March 18, 2022 – An 8″ x 8″ acrylic painting of keys. The objective was to paint something small yet complex. The keys have harsh highlights and shadows while the jagged cuts and bittings at the bottom of the key create visual texture. The background of this painting is not a solid white there are hints of the blue-toned canvas.

Though this painting is simple I like the specs of yellow in some of the keys and the layering of the subject. The simplicity of the background is what makes the painting attractive.
