Waves #1

February 2024 – A 24″ x 12″ oil painting of a seascape. The objective was to simplify a complex landscape that consisted of white water and waves which contained movement and a range of blues and greens.

This painting challenged me because it was my first time creating a painting that consisted of just water. Water is naturally chaotic and when included in a painting it can be hard to not make it look structured and purposeful.
