Mustard Seed Rebrand
December 2022 – Redesigning an organization’s identity that portrays its intentions and purpose to the public. The objective was to update the existing brand of a local organization. The organization chosen is the Mustard Seed in Worcester, MA. Mustard Seed provides food for the homeless and disadvantaged in the city. I designed a logo, a stationery set, and an additional product of my choice. Guidelines and resources (provided by the Mustard Seed) were repeatedly referenced back to.
The logo presents a hand-distributing bread. The purple hand not only represents the Catholic worker but also the volunteers/members of the Mustard Seed that show their hospitality towards people in need. The purple color was used for the hand because the color represents wisdom, peace, and ambition. The purple color is a welcoming one and helps portray a safe space for individuals. The additional product I chose was a wall design that could also be used on transportation trucks, letterheads, and envelopes.
