Tipi-Tap Reel

2025 – An animated reel inspired by Kep1er’s song “Tipi-Tap”. Creating a transition from one setting featured at the beginning of the music video to another at the end.

I started by sketching the composition of the two main frames of the animation. From there, I worked layer by layer, taking inspiration from the color palette and shapes featured in the music video. During the animation phase of this project, I had to learn how to time different elements together when they’re exported separately. For example, the foreground had to move at one speed while the background had to move faster to create some variety.

I chose this music video to animate because it features the same location setting but in two different color plates. This music video was easier to animate as I learned the software since it heavily focuses on shapes and lines instead of faces and complex objects.
