Lighthouse

November 2023 – A 12″ x 16″ oil painting of a lighthouse with a fisheye perspective. The objective was to practice oil painting but with a unique view of the world. The distorted structure of the lighthouse gives an interesting feel to the painting. When painting an object that was built on right angles and straight lines it can be difficult to curve them.

This painting challenged me through perspective and how despite being distorted the structure of the building should remain sound and accurate.
