Fine China Mandalas

2023 – Current – This a collection of mandalas that are inspired by the artwork featured on fine china.

I created these three mandalas after discovering a woman named Anežka Kašparková who paints traditional Moravian designs on neighborhood houses in the Czech village of Louka.

The mandalas are 7 1/2″ x 7 1/2″ made with acrylic ink. I decided to make the designs different colors instead of doing them all the traditional blue because my appeal to the fine china design is not the color but the complex look of the design despite it mostly containing simple lines, leaves, flowers, and circles.

I took my designs and decided to create mockups for them through Adobe Photoshop and Dimension.
