Fruit Collection

July 2021-February 2022 – All six acrylic paintings are 4.5″ x 4.5″. The objective was to learn the Impasto painting style while making a collection of work over a series of weeks.

Each fruit is painted on a piece of wood and sprayed with a glossy varnish. I chose the most basic fruit and focused on making them light and vibrant. Before this collection, I had never consecutively made multiple pieces that cohered together. This project tested my ability to stay motivated over the course of months on a project that has the same base similarities.
