Tiled Grape

June 23, 2023 – A 12″ x 12″ acrylic painting of a single grapevine. The objective was to experiment with the composition. To try a new style which had the intention of giving a stained glass appearance.

Using the same color plate that is featured in the fruit among the border creates cohesion while using contrasting colors for the background makes it pop. These background colors not only lighten up the painting but are occasionally used for highlights in this piece.
