Rotary Telephone

August 18, 2022 – An 8″ x 8″ acrylic painting of a rotary telephone. The objective was to create a small monochromatic painting with a slightly more complicated composition. Understanding perspective and color was important for this painting.

Primarily focusing on the color red with the exception of mixing colors such as yellow, white, and purple to create tints and hues. Understanding the perspective and making sure that the rotary dial and handphone match. Having the background not be a solid white creates a vintage and handmade look that gives character to the telephone.
