Stipple Portrait

March 2023 – A 3″ x 4″ stipple portrait of myself. I completed this portrait during one of my college courses which had the objective to help me branch out to different techniques such as stipple, hatching, and scribbling. I chose a portrait of myself with an object in front of my face because not only would it create depth but it also makes the composition interesting.

It was challenging to make a clear division between the sunglasses and my face. This piece made me think about my creative process in steps in order to make values accurate and make the subject matter identifiable.
